Design Concept

Where has the human connection gone? Inspired by the 19th century “Tête-à-tête” chair, literally meaning “head-to-head” in French, the connection bench allows strangers, friends, and folks passing by to share a moment with each other that would have otherwise slipped by. Normal benches are designed in a way that inspires individualism and seclusion. What if that was different? What if the way we ate lunch in the park or waited for a bus or train allowed for spontaneous opportunities for connection and community.
